The US Economy in a Snapshot is a quarterly publicatiоn produced by the CEIC Macroeconomic Research Team. The report is designed to provide a comprehensive, albeit concise overview of the current economic and financial developments. The US Economy in a Snapshot report is produced using data from CEIC's Global Database.
In Q3 2021, real GDP increased at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 2% after it had grown by 6.7% in Q2 and 6.3% in Q1, according to the advance estimates from the Bureau of Economic Analysis. GDP also rose by 4.9% y/y, slowing from 12.2% y/y in Q2, which in turn followed a 0.5% y/y rise in Q1.
