Mexico Economy in a Snapshot is a quarterly publicatiоn produced by the CEIC Macroeconomic Research Team. The report is designed to provide a comprehensive, albeit concise overview of the current economic and financial developments. The Mexico Economy in a Snapshot report is produced using data from CEIC's Global Database.
In Q1 2021, Mexico's real GDP increased by 0.4% q/q, according to the seasonally adjusted advance estimate. The economy continued to shrink on an unadjusted y/y basis, by 3.8% (2.9% seasonally adjusted), but at a reduced pace compared with the 4.3% y/y contraction in Q4 2020 and 8.2% annual average decline last year.
