In Q4 2021, real GDP increased by a seasonally adjusted 6.6% q/q and an unadjusted 3.6% y/y, continuing the volatile pattern of activity that produced a contraction of 4.5% in Q3 and growth of 16.1% y/y in Q2, all due to the pandemic and the timing of restrictions. This led to annual average growth of 3.1% in 2021 following the unprecedented 5.6% contraction in 2020.
