Euro Area Economy in a Snapshot is a quarterly publicatiŠ¾n produced by the CEIC Macroeconomic Research Team. According to the preliminary (flash) estimate, Eurozone real GDP declined for a second successive quarter in Q1 2021, by a seasonally and calendar adjusted 0.6% q/q. This led to a contraction of 1.8% y/y. The Eurozone’s industrial production index declined by 0.4% y/y and 1.3% y/y in January and February respectively, with manufacturing output also remaining lower on an annual basis.
