China Economy in a Snapshot Q2 2022 Report

What does this quarterly economic report offer? 

 

China Economy in a Snapshot is a quarterly publicatiŠ¾n produced by the CEIC Macroeconomic Research Team. The report is designed to provide a comprehensive, albeit concise overview of the current economic and financial developments. The China Economy in a Snapshot report is produced using data from CEIC's China Premium and World Trend Plus database.

 

China’s real GDP grew by 4.8% y/y in the first quarter of this year, accelerating from the 4% y/y increase in the last quarter of 2021. On a q/q basis, however, the economy expanded at a slower pace of 1.3%, down from the 1.5% q/q in the previous quarter.
